I’m not sure whether an animation created through Premier Pro will be any better than that in Photoshop. One problem I’ve faced with Photoshop is not all frames render properly. The above tutorial will be helpful should Premiere be required.
To test the viability of the stop motion animation, I’ll first use Adobe Photoshop to quickly create an animated .gif file.

Although I like the style of videoscribe, the use of a whiteboard marker rather than pencil somewhat bothers me. A whiteboard marker feels at odds if a pencil is used to link Assessment 3 and Assessment 4 together. In light of this, utilising a hand drawn stop motion animation style may be more appropriate.
Licensed by Sparkol, VideoScribe enables video white board scribe animations to be created from .AI/SVG files.
Although the content of Sir Ken Robinson’s Changing Education Paradigms TED talk is engaging and relevant to the topic of design education, its inclusion is to highlight the ‘scribe’ animation style, produced by RSAnimate.
With the frame of the pencil drawn out, colour and detail can be added.
The pencil was created in Illustrator using the 3D Extrude and Bevel tool, set to a custom rotation setting, to create an isometric style…
Work in progress here:
For me, the colour yellow is synonymous with lead pencils. A palette similar to this illustration would work well – I like the subtle distinction between highlight and shadow.
