The overall composition came together quickly. However, the nature of the concept meant that more time was dedicated to the detailing and refinement of each graphic element to establish a visually-coherent and cohesive outcome.
To reduce the complexity of the piece, emphasis was given to design principles such as hierarchy, colour, shape and line. The use of figure and ground also contributed to the overall design’s success.
